There are fewer things more daunting and futile than discussing how another person's religion is wrong. People have grown accustomed to their beliefs and have built identities around them. Only when one is willing to joyously proclaim that they really don't know what the truth is and that they are quite interested in figuring it out, can they hope to escape the woes of willful blindness. Given a genetic predisposition to question authority and ridicule inconsistency, I found myself bouncing around from various Christian churches and denominations and becoming bitter in the process. I would find issues and bring them up only to be ostracized and hated by a religion supposedly built on love. Being rejected on a continual basis made me seek all the more for understanding while making me rather bitter in the process and making me all the more outspoken and hated. I became more aware but all the more frustrated with the world around me. This frustration and knowledge grew into a book: the story of my life.
I wrote this book as a biography, showing the steps I took along the way to begin to see and understand what I now believe. I did this because, as I mentioned above, it is useless to argue with people. The only way to share what I now know is to share my life story. To simply express what is wrong will achieve nothing and to learn it takes time with a slow transition of understanding. And why share it at all? Because I believe strongly and whole-heartedly that a correction of the Christian faith will bring about far more love and peace in the world while preventing people from the same struggles and life issues I experienced. I share with a simple hope that my story can help others.
And so, for those interested in seeing how Christianity has left the core teachings of Jesus, or at least the story of my life in how I came to conclude that "Christians are Revolting" against Jesus, then this book is for you. It is the story of my life, my pilgrimage in faith, the progress I made in becoming an infidel to believe that the "Bride of Christ" has rejected her lover and that the "Great Apostasy" spoken of in Thessalonians is already here. But apart from the negative aspects of having left Jesus' teachings, there is great potential in retrieving and following what he truly taught over 2000 years ago.
The answers are not what you might expect.
